Salty and rich with umami (from cheese and black olive), eating with a can of beer is my favorite choice, hehe. It's easier to make and eat than pizza (in my opinion ^^), as you don't have to care about the shape of it (well, just fill with anything you love and roll), and you can eat it with only one hand.
Actually, the choice for the filling is up to you, salami or other kinds of ham, a different type of herbs, or cheese, (as long as you can roll the bread in to a log), I love the feeling that we can add everything we want, haha, it's the best part of baking your own bread, right?

1 tbsp ........................ Granulated sugar
1 tsp .......................... Instant yeast
1 tsp .......................... Salt
200-210 ml ............... Water
50 g ........................... King Rice bran oil shortening
140 g ......................... Pizza cheese
200 g ......................... Ham
60 g ........................... Olives
................................... Rosemary
................................... Rice bran oil
I use King Rice bran oil shortening.
Put flour, sugar, and yeast into a bowl, whisk to combine.
Put salt into the bowl, and whisk again.
Pour water into the bowl.
Mix until the dough formed, then remove from the bowl.
Knead for 5 minutes.
Mix in Rice bran oil shortening.
Knead for 8 minutes.
Or until smooth.
Brush a bowl with rice bran oil, put the dough into the bowl, and cover with plastic wrap.
Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
Or until double in size.
Remove the dough from the bowl, and place over a lined baking sheet.
Pat into 25 x 35 cm rectangular.
Sprinkle 100 g of cheese over the dough.
Then place ham, olives, and rosemary over the cheese.
Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the top.
Roll the dough into a cylinder.
Cover with plastic wrap, let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat an oven to 220℃.
Brush the dough with rice bran oil.
Place rosemary over the top.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the Stromboli is golden brown, let it cool slightly before serving.
