Caramel custard in one pan


Caramel custard is one of my favorite desserts, soft and sweet, with a bit of bitterness from caramel, I think that many people love it too.



You can make it in a small individual cup, that way,  it's cute and easy to serve. But for someone who doesn't like to wash dishes like me, it's too troublesome !!!
So I think that it will be better to make a large one in a single pan, you don't need to rush while dividing the caramel because all you have to do is pouring all of the caramel into one place, hehe. Even you use one large pan for making it, the baking time is almost the same. When serving, you just spoon the custard into a bowl or a plate, it's a lot easier, right? Well, if you make it for yourself, ^^ just put the spoon into the pan and transfer to your mouth, see, it's very easy to make and to serve!!

Caramel custard
Uses 24 x 11 cm. Pan


Caramel
1 tsp ......................... Water
50 g .......................... Granulated sugar
Custard
3 ............................... Eggs
1/2 tsp ...................... Vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)
1/8 tsp ..................... Salt
60 g ......................... Granulated sugar
390 g ....................... Milk






Preheat an oven to 150℃

Have ready 24 x 11 cm. pan.


 Put the water and sugar into a saucepan.


 Place over medium heat, until the syrup turns into a desired caramel color.


 Remove from the heat and pour into the pan.


 Put the eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla bean paste into a bowl, whisk to combine.


 Pour the milk into the bowl.


 Whisk to combine.


  Place a tea towel in a large pan, and place the pan over it.


 Pass the mixture through a sieve into the pan.


Pour hot water into the large pan.
Bake for 55-60 minutes.


 Let it cool completely over a wire rack.


Cover and refrigerate for 12 hours before serving.
