We just finished watching the Japanese drama called "Buzzer Beat", and the leading actor Yamashita Tomohisa (who play as Kamiya Naoki) always make the French toast for his family and girl friend ^^. So I asked him, which one that he wanted for breakfast he say "French Toast", so my honey toast project turn into "French toast" instead.
It the easiest thing that you can do for breakfast ok, not the easiest because pouring the milk into cereal can be easier, hehe, but the result is much more different. It the way to turn the simple slice of white bread into something special.
The bread become richer and tastier, actually you can make it less sinful by using milk instead of of whipping cream but for me ^^, I love the rich and sweet taste of the cream.
Serve it lightly dusted with icing sugar and a slice of fruit or any fruit that you fancy of. You will love it and make it over and over again.
Ps. You can mix the batter and keep it in the refrigerator, and soak the breads in the morning before frying them.
French Toast

2 ...................................... Eggs
50ml ............................... Whipping cream

1½ tbsp .......................... Sugar
4 ....................................... Thick slices of bread
.......................................... Butter for frying

Sift the flour into a bowl, whisk in sugar, cinnamon sugar, salt, and eggs. Slowly whisk in the milk and cream until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a large pan. Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat, put the butter into the pan.
Cook bread on each side until golden brown.
