Snicker Fudge Brownies: When my candy bar turn into delicious brownies

I believe there are million of brownie recipes in this world, with a bit of change in each recipe, they have their unique character and flavor.

I've never gotten tried of brownies, love to make and eat it, may be the reason is the chocolate is the main ingredient. It's easy to make and most people love to test it (when ever I said, I bake new recipe, everyone want to try, hehe). This time, it come with one of my favorite candy bar "Snicker bar". The sweetness of the snicker bar is a lot so I use less sugar in the batter, for the chocolate, you can go from 40-60%, up to the bitterness that you prefer (higher than this the brownie will be drier).
This recipe is very easy, just mix everything into the bowl, stir together, that's all. The key for delicious brownie is baking time, I can give you only a guide line, but it depends on your oven too, you don't have to bake it until dry like cake, the moist crumbs mean you get the fudge brownie ^^.
If you can resist, let it cool then refrigerate, the brownie is more delicious when it's a bit firmer.

Salty Nougat Fudge Brownies
Makes 20 cm brownie

 85g ............................... Unsalted butter
100g .............................. Dark chocolate, I use 58%
2 ..................................... Eggs
80g ................................. Granulated sugar
80g ................................. Brown sugar
2tbsp .............................. Corn syrup
1tsp ................................. Vanilla extract
1/4tsp ............................. Salt
85g .................................. All purpose flour
70g .................................. Salted roasted peanut, chopped
75g ................................... Snicker bar, cut into 1.5 cm pieces

Preheat oven to 180°C.
Line 20 cm pan with baking paper.

Put the butter and chocolate in a microwavable bowl. With medium heat melt the chocolate and butter for 1 minute, if the chocolate doesn't melt completely, heat in the microwave again for 30 seconds.
Pour both kinds of sugar with salt into the bowl and stir until combine, then add the corn syrup and vanilla extract. Let the mixture cool a bit before adding the eggs.
Pour the egg into the bowl, stir until combine. Pour the flour into the bowl with chopped peanut and snicker bar pieces. Fold until combine.
Pour into the prepared pan, and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is spring back when touch lightly, and the toothpick insert into the center come out with little moist crumbs.
Let the brownie cool in the pan on a wire rack before cut into pieces.

  1. Your brownie looks delicious. I want to try this recipe but I do not have any corn syrup and it's difficult to find in the area that I live. Is there a substitute? And what size pan did you use?
