Garlic Cheese Buns

You can call this recipe the basic.

And you can save this recipe and use it for many kinds of bread. It's easy to knead, soft, and very delicious too.
I love to use it with various fillings, as this bread can be a good canvas for the yummy filling.
This time is a garlic cheese filling ^^.

My family loves garlic bread, and garlic bread is more delicious with cheese, haha. Many times, I just add the cheese to the garlic bread but I think that it will be better to flavor the cheese itself!
The first time that I tested the recipe, the filling was not enough (in my opinion). Because we don't add milk or use a large amount of sugar in the bread dough so the color of the bread was quite pale.
The upgrade version (the one that I share with you), is packed with more filling but more filling means you need to be careful when sealing the filling as it can leak and you will lose all the cheese, so please pay attention to this part.
Anyway, as the egg wash is for appearance, you can skip this step if you don't want to.

Garlic Cheese Buns
Makes 6

Bread dough
200 g ........................... Bread flour
20 g ............................. Granulated sugar
3 g ............................... Instant yeast
3 g ............................... Salt
130 g ........................... Water
20 g ............................. Rice bran oil shortening.

Garlic cheese filling
1/2 tsp ......................... Rice bran oil
35 g ............................. Garlic, finely chopped
1/4 tsp ......................... Salt
60 g ............................. Milk
110 g ........................... Pizza cheese

Topping
..................................... Egg, for egg wash
50 g ............................. Pizza cheese
..................................... Dried parsley

I use Rice bran oil shortening.

Put the flour, sugar, and yeast into a bowl and mix to combine. Add the salt and mix again.

Add the water and mix to combine.

Remove the dough from the bowl and knead for 7-8 minutes.

Or until the dough passed the windowpane test.

Put the Rice bran oil shortening into the dough. Knead for 5-6 minutes.

Or until the dough is smooth.

Roll the dough into a bowl and place it in a bowl.

Cover and let it rise for 70 minutes.

Place a saucepan over low heat. Pour the oil into the saucepan with chopped garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Put the salt and milk into the saucepan.

Put the pizza cheese into the saucepan.

Cook until the cheese melts.

Remove from the heat, cover, and let it cool completely.

When the dough is ready.

Cut the dough into 6 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a ball. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Divide the filling into 6, wrap each one with a piece of plastic wrap, and roll it into a ball.

Roll the dough into a 10-11 cm. round.

Place a filling on the dough.

Cover the filling, pinch to seal, and roll into a ball.

Cover and let it rise for 40 minutes.

Meanwhile, preheat an oven to 180℃.

Before baking, brush the top with a beaten egg.

Use a scissor to cut the dough into a cross.

Lightly press the pizza cheese into the cut and sprinkle with dried parsley.

Bake for 14 minutes or until golden brown.
