But easy doesn't mean less delicious, it's only make your life more comfortable, and for me spending 10 hours for 1 dish or 30 minutes for it is the same, it depends on I want to do it or not, haha, I always put all my heart into it ^^.
So, you don't have to put a lot of effort and stress in one dessert to show someone that you love him or her, just do what you can do but pay attention to it is enough to make it delicious. Like this Strawberry Bavarois, it's very easy to make, but the point is, you need to taste the strawberry before making it, if it sweet you will need only 90g of sugar, but if it's not, you will need 100g of sugar. The result will be more delicious with this little effort.
Depending on how hungry you are ^^, this recipe can serve 4-6 people (choose the glass that suites you), if you love something creamy, add creme chantilly on top is a good choice too.
Strawberry Bavarois
Serves 4-6 (depends on the glass that you use)
150g ................................ Whipping cream
90-100g ......................... Granulated sugar
5g .................................... Gelatin sheets
2tsp ................................. Lemon juice
Decoration
.......................................... Fresh strawberries
Bloom the gelatin in cold water.
Puree all the strawberry in the food processor, and pour into the saucepan with sugar (you will need 90-100g depends on how sweet your strawberry is) and lemon juice.
Put over low heat, until boil.
Take out of the heat and stir in the gelatin.
Pour into a bowl and place it over a bowl of iced water.
Let it cool completely.
Whip the whipping cream until soft peaks form.
Fold the whipped cream into the strawberry mixture, divide into 3 additions.
Pour into glasses, and refrigerate at least 3 hours.
Decorate with fresh strawberries.
Strawberry Bavarois: Easy lazy sweet!
Hi,

ReplyDeleteLooks nice, Bavarois is one of my favourite subjects. I learnt from Gordon's Just Desserts book. I also use egg whites, and custard. I believe the original Bavarian Cream, did not have all of these. Bavaria is the coolest place, if ever you get the chance to visit it.
ReplyDeleteIt turns out good even if you make a mistake. Get all three elements right, boom! Your taste buds will love you forever. Caramelised banana is one of my favourites.
When you fold the three elements together is a key factor, to perfecting Bavarois.
‘White chocolate and orange zest’ worked well as did ‘Lemon Grass and Lime Leaf’. Chocolate can be a bit too much though.
Something on the side is also needed. Exactly what depends on the Bavarois.
Is strawberry bavarois different from strawberry mousse or these two is just one ?
ReplyDeleteFor me, I think they are the same ^^.
