English Muffins

I made English Muffins today.

Well, the reason is so simple, I just wanted to use my new English muffin pan.

Please note that I bought it by myself, with no commercial or advertising fee. ^^

I love to collect baking pans, especially the ones that can make the bake good look good, haha, and this pan is one of them. I made the English muffins before by using cake rings and 2 sheet pans and one time, one of the cake rings slid down to the floor before it reached the oven ^^". This pan is the best answer for me.

Because this pan is made for making English muffins, so the first thing that I should make is English muffins, right?
I made the small and very simple recipe, you can hand-knead it too.
As the muffins are covered while baking, they won't rise much, and the texture will be chewy.

You can serve it the way you want or use it for making Egg benedict ^^ (the recipe for Egg benedict is here).
If you don't have this kind of pan, you still can make this muffin (the method for using cake rings and 2 sheet pans is in the recipe).

Mix the milk with the vinegar and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Mix together, the bread flour, sugar, and yeast in a bowl.

Pour the salt into the bowl and mix to combine.

Pour the milk and vinegar mixture into the bowl.

Mix until a dough forms.

Remove from the bowl and knead for 5-7 minutes.

Knead the butter into the dough.

Knead for 5-7 minutes.

Brush a bowl with unsalted butter.

Put the dough into the bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.

Or until dough becomes double in size.

Cut into 6 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a bowl.

Brush 6 of 9 x 3 cm English muffin pans with butter.

Sprinkle the corn grits all over the pans.

Dip the dough into a bowl of corn grits to over the dough with corn grits.

Put the dough into the pan and press lightly.

Cover and let it rise for 30-40 minutes.

Meanwhile preheat an oven to 180℃

Cover the pan with the lid

Bake in 180℃  Preheated oven for 15-18 minutes.

Ready to enjoy!!!

Serve it the way you like ^^.

You can use cake rings and 2 sheet pans for baking English muffins too.
Place a piece of baking paper over a sheet pan, place cake rings over it. Before baking place another sheet pan on top it will be a lid.
