Cheese-Stuffed Naan: Pan-Fried Cheese Bread

Today, I come with a load of cheese ^^.



Some people think that yeast bread is hard to make, but this Cheese-Stuffed Naan that's very easy to make (it is made from All-purpose flour so you don't have to use a lot of time to knead it). The best thing about this recipe is you can pan-fry it and each bread needs only 2-3 minutes to cook.
I stuff it with a lot of pizza cheese blend but you can use mozzarella cheese too.


You can find a lot of recipes for this kind of bread, for me, I prefer the one that's made with yeast than baking powder as it's puffier and very fragrant.

My trick for this bread is I add a small amount of milk into the cheese to provide extra moisture, so the cheese will stay gooey longer. 
The only thing that you to pay attention to is when pan-frying it, you need 2 things low heat and patience, haha.
I love to make 2 batches, as they can be kept for 2-3 days in the fridge, reheating them in the toaster oven is enough. 


Cheese-Stuffed Naan
Makes 4


30 g ...................... Unsalted butter
30 g ...................... Plain yogurt
25 g ...................... Eggs
200 g .................... All-purpose flour
15 g ...................... Granulated sugar
5 g ........................ Instant yeast
4 g ........................ Salt
90 g ...................... Water
160-180 g ............. Pizza cheese
4 tsp ...................... Milk




Melt the butter (microwave at 600 w for 30 seconds). Mix the plain yogurt into the melted butter.

Let the butter mixture return to room temperature, then mix it with the egg. Set aside until ready to use.

Mix the flour with the sugar and yeast until combined. Add the salt and mix to combine.

Pour the water into the bowl.

Pour the melted butter mixture into the bowl.

Mix to combine.

Knead for 7-8 minutes.

Or until smooth.

Roll into a ball and put the dough into a bowl.

Cover and let it rise for 50 minutes.

When the dough is ready. Remove it from the bowl.

Cut into 8 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a ball.

Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Roll each piece into a 13 cm. round.

Place 40-45 g of the pizza cheese in the center and pour 1 tsp. of milk over the cheese. 

Place another piece of dough over the cheese and press the side to seal.

You will get 4 pieces of stuffed naan.

Heat a pan over low heat.

Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Flip the Naan and cook until brown on both sides.


Serve warm.
