Lemon Posset: Easy tangy sweet dessert


Simple creamy lemon dessert, that you can make it without any special equipment or ingredients ^^.





Posset can be made easily by mixing, simmering and cool it in the fridge, no oven needed. The acid from the lemon sets the cream into creamy, silky curd, that if you love lemon curd, you will fall for this dessert for sure! 
The sweet and sour lemon posset goes very, very well with fresh berries, and not only in taste, with colorful fruits turn the posset into cute, party suitable dessert too. I add a drop of yellow food coloring to make the posset lightly yellow color but you don't need it (or you can add more to make it look like lemon curd ^^).

Lemon Posset
Serve 4



225 g .............................. Whipping cream
........................................ Zest from 1 lemon
65 g ................................ Granulated sugar
45 g ................................ Lemon juice
........................................ Yellow food coloring (optional)
........................................ Fresh berries, for serving




Remove the lemon zest from 1 lemon.


 Put whipping cream, lemon zest and sugar into a saucepan.


 Place over low heat, and simmering for 5-7 minutes.


 Remove from the heat and pour the lemon juice into the saucepan.


 Put the yellow food coloring into the saucepan, and stir to combine.


 Let it cool for 30 minutes.


 Pour into cups.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.


Place fresh berries over the top before serving.
