Esp., when we make a small batch, hand kneading is very easy. With one basic recipe you can crate many variations too. This recipe is one of the easiest basic bread recipes that you can try, if you never knead the bread before, I really hope you will give this recipe a chance ^^.
Because this dough is easy to handle, as long as you don't weigh anything wrong, you will be able to knead it until smooth, soft and pliable. You can change the topping to anything you like, I use the one that I have in the fridge - tomato and sausage, but ham or bacon is another good choice too.

SAUSAGE AND TOMATO BREAD
Makes 6 pieces
200g ........................ Bread flour
3g ............................ Instant yeast
20g .......................... Granulated sugar
3g ............................ Salt
140g ......................... Milk
20g ........................... Unsalted butter, soft
.................................. Butter for brushing the bowl and tart pan
.................................. Tomato sauce
.................................. Sausage
.................................. Cherry tomatoes
.................................. Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
.................................. Mayonnaise
.................................. Parsley (optional)
Brush 6 (10cm tart pans) with butter.
Put the flour, sugar and yeast into a bowl and whisk to combine.
Put salt into the bowl and whisk again.
Pour milk into the bowl.
Mix with a spatula until moisten.
Use your hand to mix until a dough formed.
Remove from the bowl.
Knead until fully combine, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the butter and knead until smooth.
The dough will be soft, pliable and not stick to your hand.
Brush the bowl with butter, place the dough into the bowl cover with plastic wrap.
Let it rise until double in size (about 1 hour).
When the dough is ready, remove from the bowl and cut into 6 equal pieces.
Roll each piece into a ball.
Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Roll each piece with a rolling pin.
Until you get 13 cm round.
Press into 10cm tart pan.
Do the same for the rest of the dough.
Spread the tomato sauce over the dough, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Place the sausage and tomato over the sauce.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile preheat an oven to 180C.
Drizzle with. Mayonnaise
Bake for 13-16 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven.
Sprinkle the top with parsley and let it cool on a wire rack.
