One of the dish that I served at the party is garlic bread, everyone love it so I think you (my dear reader) you may want to have the recipe too.
Even it use 800g of flour, I still knead it by hand (Thank you so much Pam, for kneading the one that we served at the party). It takes about 10-15 minutes for kneading it. You can make it a day ahead and refrigerate it and bake the next day. But if you want to refrigerate it you need to reduce the yeast so it won't rise too much while waiting.
Serve it as a side is the best, ^^.
Garlic bread
Using 25x35cm pan
Bread
800g .............................. Bread flour
7g .................................. Instant yeast (if refrigerate the dough overnight use only 5g)
7g .................................. Salt
1tbsp ............................. Granulated sugar
550g .............................. Water
2tbsp ............................. Vegetable oil (I use rice barn oil)
50g ................................ Bread crumbs
Garlic butter
5 cloves ......................... Garlic, finely chopped
200g ............................. Butter (soft)
...................................... Parsley
...................................... Pinch of salt
Put bread flour, instant yeast and sugar into a bowl, whisk to combine.
Add the salt and whisk to combine.
Pour the water and oil into the bowl.
Stir with spatula, until moisten.
Remove from the bowl.
Knead until smooth.
Put in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
Let the dough rise until double in size (about 1-1.30 hours).
While the dough is rising, make the garlic butter.
Mix all the ingredients together.
Divide the dough into 35 pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
Place the dough into the prepared pan.
Brush with half of the rest of the garlic butter.
Let the dough rise until almost double in size (about 1-1.30 hours or you can cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at this stage, remove the dough from the fridge and let it rise until almost double in size before baking).
When the dough is ready, bake in 190C preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and brush with the rest of the butter, serve warm.
