Happy Cooking with LG SolarDom: Chinese style steamed egg with minced chicken

 Soft and delicious, well it's a kind of comfort food for me.
This steamed egg is very soft, I love both the texture and the taste of it. I use the steamchef set with my LG SolarDom Microwave oven, which is easy to use ^^. Actually steamed food needs a lot of equipment and preparation, you need to have the steamer, and have to boil the water before putting the food in. But with steamchef, just pouring water into the water bowl, and put in the microwave, that's all. 
All of the process can be done in the microwave, so I can cook on my counter (again, hehe). If you serve it with cooked rice, you may need more salt in the egg mixture but if serve on its own, only 1/4tsp is enough. 
Pouring the egg mixture through a sieve will make the steamed egg smoother (without a lot of air pockets), so don't skip this step.
Serve with cooked rice or on it own, it's delicious both way.


Chinese style steamed egg with minced chicken
Serve 2-3 (depends on the size of your cups)


80g .............................. Minced chicken
1/2tsp .......................... Soy sauce
1tsp .............................. Chinese cooking wine (or Japanese sake)
..................................... Pinch of Pepper

400ml ......................... Chicken stock (you can make it with 400ml water and 1/2 cube of chicken bouillon cube)

2 .................................. Eggs
1/4 .............................. Salt (depend on how salty you like)
1tbsp ............................ Chinese cooking wine (or Japanese sake)
..................................... Pinch of Pepper

..................................... Sesame oil
..................................... Spring onion, finely chopped


 Making the stock by pouring the water into a microwavable jug and select microwave function, heat for 3 minutes. Take the jug out of the microwave put the chicken bouillon cube into the jag stir until melt, then select microwave function, heat for 30 seconds -1 minute or until boil. 
 Mix minced chicken with soy sauce, Chinese cooking wine, pepper and 1 tbsp of chicken stock.
Cover and place in the oven and select microwave function, power 360w, heat for 1 minutes. 
Take the bowl out of the oven, using 2 forks to divide the chicken into small pieces. Pour the stock into the bowl.
Cover and place in the oven and select microwave function, power 360w, heat for 2 minutes. 


 Beat the eggs together with salt, Chinese cooking wine and pepper. Slowly pour the chicken stock (use only the stock, don't let the chicken pieces into the egg mixture) into the egg bowl, beat until combine. Pass the mixture through a sieve and pour into cups. 
Pour 300ml of water into the steam water bowl.
Place the cups on the steam plate, and cover with the steam cover.


 Choose Thai Auto menu, tc25 and press start.
 After cooking for 13 minutes, press stop take the steamed egg out of the oven, put the cooked minced chicken on top of each cups, and cover with the steam cover.
Press start to cook for 2 minutes more.
Pour the sesame oil on top with chopped spring onion.
