One egg brownie: I will have a lot of baking time from now on!

Baking can bring joy and happiness, not only for the baker but the people who receive it too.

It's why I love to bake so much, making something from your hand with all your heart and send it to the one that you love, and the moment that they enjoy it, I'm so happy.
Anyway eating a lot of sweet can cause a problem too, haha, and I have to bake less lately. But I still want to bake, it's fun to be in the kitchen so rather than baking less can I bake smaller size instead, that way I have a chance to bake more ^^.
So, this one is very small portion brownie, it's only 10x10cm, but the small size is not small taste , it's full of flavor as the bigger one.
You can use different percentage of chocolate, with more cocoa mass the taste will be intense but you will need to adjust the baking time too, because the brownie will be drier with high percentage of chocolate so the baking time will be less.
So, now it's my invitation for anyone who love to bake, baking mini brownie takes the same time as bigger one, but because it's small you will have a lot of baking to do, haha.

One egg brownie
10x10cm pan
1 ..................................... Egg
60g................................. Butter
50g ................................ Sugar
........................................ A pinch of salt
60g................................. Dark chocolate (50%)
30g ................................ Cake flour
1/3tsp ........................... Baking powder
60g ................................ Walnut

Preheat the oven to 170°C.
Line the pan tins with baking paper.
Sift the flour and baking powder together, set aside.
Melt the chocolate by putting in the bowl and place over the bowl of hot water (don't let the bottom of the bowl touch the water.

Beat the butter with sugar and salt until light in color.
Pour the egg into the bowl and beat to combine.
Mix in the melted chocolate.
Pour the flour and walnut into the bowl.

Fold until combine.
Put the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes (It's up to your taste, you can bake until the bamboo stick insert into the brownie come out clean, or there are some gooey batter sticks to it, both way it's delicious).

  3. Your brownies looks very moist. And I like the idea of making small portions. Finish up, and then on to try the next cake/muffin etc.

  4. I LOVE this! One thing that puts me off baking is that my family always cannot finish the standard size portions, so there's a lot of wastage. But this is fantastic, small portions. Thanks heaps for sharing. I must try soon :)
